T&S: Keeping South Carolina beautiful for 13 years

T&S: Keeping South Carolina beautiful for 13 years
T&S Brass, headquartered in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, has been helping keep South Carolina’s roadways clean for 13 years as part of the Palmetto Prideway litter-prevention program.

This year, 404 bags of litter were removed from South Carolina roadsides thanks to T&S’ support.

T&S sponsorship has supported litter clean-up of a 2-mile section of Interstate 385 in Greenville since 2004. More than 4,000 bags of litter have been removed from the roadside since 2009, the year the program began keeping segment-specific records.

“T&S believes in supporting a healthy and vibrant world, whether through our water-conserving plumbing fixtures or litter control efforts right here in our back yard,” said Claude Theisen, T&S president and CEO. “We’re proud to call South Carolina home and are honored to help keep it a beautiful, welcoming place.”

Roadway litter contributes to traffic accidents, so litter pickup along major roadways also supports public safety, according to the Palmetto Prideways program.

Palmetto Prideways is a program of Palmetto Pride, a non-profit public/private partnership dedicated to combating litter in the state of South Carolina through education, enforcement, awareness and pickup efforts.
