Travelers Rest, S.C. — June 24, 2009 T&S Brass, a leading manufacturer of plumbing and foodservice equipment, has been recertified by UL (Underwriters Laboratories®) to ISO 9001:2008 quality management systems requirements.

Committed to quality management for over 60 years, T&S Brass was among the first commercial plumbing manufactures to be ISO 9001 certified in 1994. After recent reexamination and review by UL, T&S received the ISO 9001:2008 certification and completed the audit without any findings of non-conformity.

"T&S Brass is continuously making strides to go above and beyond quality management standards. The ISO 9001:2008 certification shows that T&S is committed to quality and is a mature, world-class manufacturer," said Brian Jones, T&S Brass quality manager.

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards. ISO 9001:2008 specifies requirements for an organization's quality management system. In order for a company to receive this stringent certification, it must show its ability to continuously provide products that meet customer and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the certification aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system.

Among the benefits of being ISO 9001 certified are: improved business efficiency and productivity, reduced levels of waste and product defects, and continued improvement in organizational processes and customer satisfaction.
